Registered Biostatistician VVS:

Employers, the government and society as a whole make more and more demands upon biostatisticicians who are involved in the design and analysis of biological, medical and agricultural research. In 1999 the VVS has therefore established a register of biostatisticians. This was done in co-operation with the Biometrical Section and the Dutch Region of the International Biometric Society. To be considered for the qualification of Registered Biostatistician VVS, one must have adequate knowledge of statistical theory as well as sufficient practical experience in applying statistics. The necessary qualifications are similar to those of the Royal Statistical Society.
The website of the Biometrical Section contains more information in Dutch, such as the by-laws, an application form and most of the names of registered biostatisticians.

The board of the registration committee "Statistisch Analist A" consists of the following persons:
Professor Dr. Alfred Stein (ITC - chairman), Professor Dr. Willem Albers (UT - member), Dr. Bert van Es (UVA - member). The register Statistisch Analisten A is available at the VVS secretariat.
