This year the XXVIth Internation Biometric Conference (IBC 2012) will be held in Japan:

"Fourteen invited sessions have been selected and spread throughout the week. Furthermore, a Biometrics and JABES Showcases, a Young Statisticians Showcase, a Special Invited Session from the ISI, and many sessions containing contributed talks have been scheduled.  The end result is that there is much choice in selecting talks and/or posters of interest to them. This is over and above Sunday’s workshops which are organised."
